Minecraft Coding (Winter–Spring)

Explore the world of coding through the exciting terrain of Minecraft.


What will the students learn in this class?
Students start their journey into coding within the world of Minecraft, a popular 3D sandbox game. While using Microsoft MakeCode programming languages, they create engaging environments and invent unique character abilities, getting acquainted with important coding principles like variables, looping and function creation.

The curriculum is designed to lay down the groundwork in computer science for beginners and motivate more seasoned learners to take on difficult tasks and improve their coding skills.

Students can delve deeper into the world of tech by taking the other coding courses offered, such as Game Design, Handheld Devices, and Drones, Roblox Coding, Minecraft Build & Creative Play and Junior Coding and Robotics.

Learning to code provides children with vital computer science skills, fostering problem-solving abilities and enhancing their interaction with technology.
