What will the students learn in this class?
Kids learn the fundamentals of baseball in a fun and nurturing environment. Besides developing such core skills as throwing, catching, hitting, base running and fielding through drills and games, they build fitness, self-confidence and a keen understanding of the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.

What are the benefits of this class?
In addition to developing baseball-specific skills, young players improve their hand-eye coordination, agility, balance and overall fitness. A group-learning setting also gives kids a chance to interact with peers and make new friends.

Who will teach this class?
Baseball coach Hiromu Yagi has been playing the game since first joining a little league team in 2004. He went on to pitch for his high school (pictured) in Chiba Prefecture, competing in numerous regional and national tournaments, and at Jobu University in Gunma Prefecture. Besides teaching baseball, he is a certified CrossFit level 1 trainer and an International Sports Sciences Association-certified trainer.
